Tried a new underlayment for a floating floor and the sound was way off
I had a job in Tempe last week where the client insisted on this cork underlayment they bought online for a big floating LVP install. I figured it would be fine, but once we got the floor down, every step had this weird hollow echo, like walking on a drum. It was a 1,200 square foot area, so the sound really carried. Has anyone else run into this with cork underlay, and what do you use instead to keep things quiet?
1200 square feet of drum sounds, that's a concert stage, not a floor. Hey @lily394, at least your client's dog was making music, sounds like you got a whole percussion section for free. Guess some folks just really want that authentic "playing basketball in a gym" vibe at home.
