My aunt told me to stop using floral foam for centerpieces

She runs a small shop in Boise and said it was bad for the environment and that chicken wire works just as well. I tried it on a wedding job last month with 15 centerpieces and honestly, it was a pain at first. But the arrangements held up perfectly for the whole reception and cleanup was way easier. Anyone else made the switch and have tips for working with wire?

Saw a florist on TikTok say chicken wire gets way easier with practice.

Chicken wire is a pain but it's not brain surgery. People act like it's some huge skill to learn. Just bend the stuff until it stays put.

My buddy tried to fix his coop last weekend. Ended up with a tangled mess and a cut hand. Took him three hours to get it sort of right.
