DAE find that a creative hobby boosts freelance work instead of hurting it?

I keep hearing that freelancers should drop hobbies to focus only on paid jobs. I totally disagree with that idea. My weekend drawing habit has actually made me faster at graphic design tasks. It helps me relax and come up with new ideas for client projects. Just yesterday, a sketch I did gave me a fix for a website layout issue. Without this outlet, I would feel stuck and less motivated. So, I believe hobbies are a big help for staying sharp in freelance life.

Still makes you wonder about those weird shadows in the photos though.

Yeah, for the longest time I was totally convinced the moon landing was filmed on a set. I watched that one shaky documentary in high school and bought it completely. It took seeing the actual Apollo mission photos up close at the Smithsonian to really flip that switch for me, @simonhunt. The sheer scale of the equipment and the insane detail in those shots made the studio theory seem silly. Now it just makes me wonder what else I was totally wrong about back then.
