That moment a squirrel decided my internet cable was lunch during a client crunch
I was wrapping up a huge design file for a tight deadline. Suddenly, my screen froze and the wifi dropped. I peeked out the window and saw a fluffy squirrel munching on the cable line like it was spaghetti. My heart sank, but I grabbed my phone and turned on the hotspot. It was super slow, but I managed to upload the file bit by bit. The client never knew about my backyard rodent issue. Lesson learned: nature doesn't care about your deliverables. Now I have a prepaid data card tucked in my desk for emergencies.

My friend Lisa in Seattle was on a video call with her boss last week. A raccoon chewed through the outdoor power line to her house. Everything went black right as she was showing quarterly reports. She had to use her laptop battery and phone hotspot to get back online. Can you believe that? Now she keeps a spare battery charged at all times.

Had a squirrel fry the transformer on my block during a client pitch. My whole setup died mid-sentence. Now I keep a big power bank plugged in next to my desk and my phone’s personal hotspot turned on before every important call. It’s saved me at least twice since then. Those backyard critters are secretly trying to ruin our careers.

So true! When you said "nature doesn't care about your deliverables," it really hit home! I've heard so many stories like tessa_thompson's and jake_martin's friend's where animals cause chaos. It's crazy how these little critters can mess up our work so badly. Being ready with backups like hotspots and power banks is a lifesaver. It's a good reminder to always have a plan B because you never know what will happen. Honestly, these experiences make us better at handling surprises in our jobs!
