inFrom my bench: Heat guns for paint removal seem overrated to me
Your sticky mess story reminds me of when I melted paint into a gummy nightmare on a door panel.

inPro tip: Greasing governor bearings (seemed like busywork) stopped a nasty failure on my last service call.
Seems like a stretch to call every grease job critical. Ward.piper makes a fair point about stress points, but calling it fixing problems feels dramatic. Often it's just basic upkeep, not some huge failure in the making.

inThe best way I've found to pack a lunch that survives a vibrating deck
Wait, is that true? I read some boats have plates bolted down so stuff won't slide around. Sounds rough, @amym97.

inThat moment a squirrel decided my internet cable was lunch during a client crunch
Had a squirrel fry the transformer on my block during a client pitch. My whole setup died mid-sentence. Now I keep a big power bank plugged in next to my desk and my phone’s personal hotspot turned on before every important call. It’s saved me at least twice since then. Those backyard critters are secretly trying to ruin our careers.

inUpdate: My blush moment confusing shonen and shojo at a friend's meetup
Mixing up shonen and shojo happens to everyone, it's not really about boy vs girl shows anymore anyway. Some of the best shonen stuff has huge female fanbases, and plenty of shojo series appeal to guys. Like, Fruits Basket is shojo but tons of dudes love it, and Attack on Titan is shonen but my whole friend group watches it. Getting the labels wrong just shows you're talking about the actual stories, not the marketing categories. Those slip-ups make the conversation way better than just listing correct facts.
