Rant: I finally realized I was taping my kid's drawings with the tape on the FRONT instead of the back

My 6 year old came home with this AMAZING dinosaur drawing. I was SO proud I stuck it right on the fridge with clear tape. Over the corners. Looked great for about 2 days. Then I noticed the tape was turning yellow and the edges of the paper were curling up. My sister came over and asked why I was ruining the drawing by covering up the art. She said to ALWAYS tape from the BACK of the paper so the artwork stays visible. Felt like a complete idiot. How long did it take you guys to figure this out?

Honestly that "why are you ruining the art" comment hits hard, I did the same thing for way too long. Now I use those little blue painter's tape loops on the back and it works perfect.
