Looking at my fridge now versus my old photos from 2019

I was on the phone with my mom last night and she asked if I still had that same jar of fancy mustard from three years ago. I opened the fridge door and just stared at it. Back then it was all meal kits and craft beer, now it's mostly condiments, a block of cheese, and some wilting cilantro. She laughed and said 'Your fridge tells a story, honey, and right now it says you order a lot of Thai food.' She's not wrong. Has anyone else's fridge contents totally shifted in the last few years?

My fridge is the most honest thing in my apartment. It went from being full of sad salad kits to actually having real food now, stuff to cook a real meal. That half block of cheese and wilting herbs means I tried, and the condiments are just proof of life. It’s not a story of takeout, it’s a story of finally getting my act together, even if it’s messy.

Proof of life" with the condiments is such a good way to put it, @jade_hernandez. I always saw a messy fridge as a fail, but you're right... it's actually a sign you tried something real.
