My fridge forced me to pick between a big clean or a quick fix
I opened my fridge yesterday and it was a real mess. I had two choices: take everything out and scrub the whole thing, which would take at least an hour, or just pull out the old stuff and wipe down the worst spots in maybe ten minutes. I went with the quick fix because I was tired after my route. I tossed a half-empty jar of salsa that was growing fuzz and a container of leftover rice from maybe two weeks ago. I wiped up a sticky spot from a leaked yogurt cup. It's still not perfect, but at least I can see the shelves now. Looking at what I threw out and what's left, it's pretty clear I eat a lot of eggs, cheese, and condiments. Anyone else find their fridge tells a story about their eating habits?

My fridge is basically a condiment graveyard with a side of cheese, so I get it. I've noticed this quick-fix choice happens everywhere, like cleaning one corner of a messy room or just deleting old emails instead of organizing the whole inbox. It's like we're all just doing little damage control instead of real fixes. King.lisa is right about it being a mood, but it's kind of a sad one when you think about it. We're all just too tired to deal with the big messes, so we settle for seeing the shelves again.
