My phone died at a concert in Austin and I had to use a friend's old point-and-shoot.
The photos were way better than my usual blurry phone shots. Now I'm thinking about getting a proper camera for trips. Anyone have a good compact camera recommendation under $300?
ellis.victor mentioned the ELPH 180 battery lasting forever, which reminds me of a buddy of mine who took a similar Canon on a road trip through the desert. He left it in his glove box for like three months and when he pulled it out for a hike it still had half a charge. He got some killer shots of a sunset over the canyon that his phone would have totally ruined.
