Vent: I hit 100 rocks in my collection and realized most were just quartz

I was sorting them by the creek (you know, like you do) and a friend pointed out the same clear crystal pattern in almost every piece. Anyone else get way too many of one common mineral before they learned to spot the differences?

My whole desk is covered in quartz pieces just like that.
