Hit 1,000 panes of glass cut without a single major break today
I was cleaning up the shop and checked my log book from the start of the year. I've cut exactly 1,000 panes for various jobs since January, and I didn't have a single one shatter on the table (you know, the kind that makes you jump). I had a few close calls with some tricky tempered stuff, but they all held. It's a silly thing to track, but it feels like a weird little win. Anyone else keep count of their 'no-break' streaks?

Honestly that number is insane to me. Tbh I'd probably break one just from the pressure of keeping count. That's a serious streak you got going.

Yeah the pressure to not break it is real. What helped me was just not looking at the number for a while. I'd just do the thing each day and only check the count like once a month. Made it feel way less intense.

Totally get what you mean about not watching the number. Read this thing once about how tracking every single day can mess with your head. Barbarahill has a point too, the pressure itself can make you slip up. It's like if you stare at the clock time goes slower, same with a streak counter. Forcing yourself to only check now and then turns it into a habit instead of a test. Makes the whole process way more chill in the long run.
