Update: Our crew's hilarious fix for wet sealant on a coastal job
We were installing some big glass panels at a waterfront restaurant, and the humidity kept the sealant from drying. We ended up using every fan and hairdryer we could find, and the owner brought us towels saying we looked like a weird science experiment!

My friend had a similar mess last summer working on a boat dock. The sealant just wouldn't dry because of the salt spray and damp air. They rigged up a tent from tarps and used a bunch of space heaters on low, which was probably a fire hazard. The whole thing looked like a makeshift sauna, and they got teased by passing fishermen. It's crazy how coastal jobs always need creative fixes. What's the strangest solution you've seen for weather problems?

Tarp tents with heaters are common sense near water.

Yeah, it's like we're all just one bad weather day away from becoming mad scientists... I see it on my route all the time, people rigging up tarps over porches or using hair dryers on frozen pipes. There's this weird pride in the janky fix that just barely works. Makes you wonder how anything gets built right the first time.
