Tbh, I'm pretty chuffed that my fringe cuts are looking crisp lately, but honestly, why do some fringes just refuse to sit flat no matter what?

Have you tried blow drying it with a round brush? My fringe used to do the same thing, so now I section it and dry it slowly while pulling the brush straight down. I put a small dab of strong hold mousse at the roots before I start, too. I mean, maybe it's just me but that routine finally got it to lay flat.

Ugh, tell me about it. Why do they have a mind of their own sometimes?

Yeah that brush technique is key. I used to just blast mine with heat and it made everything worse. The slow drying part is what changed it for me, like you almost have to train the hair where to go. I also started using a tiny bit of hairspray on the brush itself while I do the last pass, not just on the roots. It's a whole process but once you get it down it stops fighting you so much.
