Finally got consistent brews by weighing my beans
I used to just use a scoop for my coffee grounds. A friend told me to try a kitchen scale. I wasn't sure it would help, but I tried it anyway. Now my brews taste the same every time, no more bad cups. It's a little win that makes my mornings better.

Started weighing beans after a bunch of sour cups. My scoops were all over the place, like sometimes heavy, sometimes light. Now I stick to 15 grams for 250 ml water. Keep the scale right by the grinder so I don't skip it. Coffee tastes the same every day, no more surprises. Such a simple fix for better mornings.

15 grams feels like lab work to me. My morning routine is just grab a handful of beans and hope for the best, and my coffee tastes fine. At work we just dump grounds into the big brewer, no scales in sight. I guess I don't get why the perfect cup needs that much math.

Whoa hold up @the_dylan, you were just SCOOPING before? That's WILD. Keeping the scale right there is the real trick though, genius move.
