Just realized my junk drawer is basically a time capsule from 2018
My sister came over last week and pulled out an old gas station receipt from 2018, a broken keychain, and three random takeout menus. She said "this drawer is where good memories go to die" and honestly that hit me hard because I haven't touched any of it in 6 years. Has anyone else found something in their drawer that makes you stop and think about how fast time goes?
2018 was six years ago, that math checks out but it hurts. My junk drawer has a USB cable that probably went to a phone I don't even remember owning anymore. The weirdest part is finding a birthday card from someone I haven't talked to since before covid, and realizing they're basically a stranger now. Time really sneaks up on you when you're not looking, just hanging out in a drawer full of broken stuff and old receipts.
