Walked into a coffee shop in Portland and noticed their agency client work on display
I was grabbing a latte at this shop called Green Cup over on 12th Ave and saw they had framed print ads and social posts from a local marketing agency hanging on the wall. Turns out the agency did their branding and menu design, and the owners talked about how it boosted their foot traffic by 30% in the first quarter. Has anyone else seen your agency's work featured in a client's actual store or space?

Huh, is that really something to brag about? I mean, an agency doing a coffee shop's branding and then the shop putting it on display feels less like a success story and more like free advertising for the agency. Who's really winning there?

It says a lot about how things work now. @sam_anderson, you're not wrong. That whole arrangement just shows how people trade visibility for something real these days. The coffee shop gets a cool sign, the agency gets a walking billboard. Nobody is really losing, but nobody is really winning big either. It's like when a contractor does work for cheap just to get a photo for their website. The job gets done, but the value is all mixed up.
