Spent 4 hours fixing a meme template that should have taken 20 minutes
I tried to redo that old 'Distracted Boyfriend' meme with a new joke about my dog ignoring me for a squirrel. The original image had some weird resolution issues, so I spent an hour hunting for a clean version. Then I spent another 2 hours in GIMP trying to match the font exactly, only to realize I had the wrong font the whole time. Finally got it posted, and it got like 12 upvotes. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on a meme that bombed?

BRO tell me about it. I spent a solid THREE hours last week trying to make a "This Is Fine" meme work for a new game update that was a total disaster. I couldn't find a clean version of the dog in the burning room so I tried to trace it myself in paint.net. Ended up with the dog looking like a deformed potato and the font was Comic Sans instead of the regular one. Got like 8 upvotes and my friend said it looked "derpy." Still not over it honestly.

Derpy" is brutal but honestly I've been there. I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to Frankenstein different meme templates together in MS Paint once and ended up with something that looked like it was drawn by a toddler.
