That time someone told me my meme template was upside down

I spent 2 hours redoing a Distracted Boyfriend meme with a joke about my cat stealing my sandwich, only for a commenter to point out the boyfriend was looking at the wrong girl. I flipped the image and reposted it, got triple the upvotes. Has anyone else had a format tweak completely save a joke?

Huh. That's wild how something so simple flips the whole thing. Did you notice the mistake before they said something or did you just trust the upvotes?

Honestly I didn't notice at first. I just saw all those upvotes and figured I was wrong, you know? But once someone pointed out the actual mistake it hit me that I'd been going along with the crowd instead of trusting what I actually knew. Kinda embarrassing tbh. Definitely changed how I look at stuff now, gotta double check before I just go with the flow.
