Is it just me or does Mulholland Drive make less sense the more you watch it?

Wait, has anyone else had their buddy completely unravel during a rewatch? My friend Mark, he's a big film guy, watched it three times in one weekend last year. By the third time he was pacing around his living room, yelling at the TV about the blue box key like it was a personal attack. He kept saying "the hobo behind the diner isn't even scary anymore, just confusing" and then he tried to explain the whole plot to me using a napkin and ketchup. I've never seen a man so angry about a cowboy in a dream sequence. He still brings it up every time we grab a beer.

Man that napkin and ketchup bit killed me LOL. But real talk, what part of it do you think finally broke him? Was it the hobo thing that sent him over the edge or something else? Cause I've seen people lose it over the blue box key logic before but never after three viewings in one weekend. That's a special kind of unraveling.
