Just crossed the 500 prop mark and I'm honestly shocked

I've been collecting movie props for about 6 years now and last weekend I finally decided to catalog everything. I figured I might have 200 or maybe 300 pieces at most. Turns out I had 512 items total across my whole collection. That number really hit me because I never set out to gather that many things. It's not like I'm rich or anything, most of my stuff is small props like screen-used letters or replica coins from cheaper lots on eBay. But seeing that number made me realize I might have a hoarding problem or just a really solid hobby. Has anyone else here done a full count of their props and gotten surprised by the total?

Hitting that count and just staring at it for a minute, I bet. I did the same thing last winter when I moved apartments and had to box everything up. I was sure I had maybe 80 or 90 items from all my movie and TV show stuff, but when I actually laid it all out on my living room floor I counted 187 pieces. That was a real shock, especially the little things like hero coins from a sci-fi show and a bunch of prop letters from that one Netflix series. It's wild how those small screen used items just add up without you really noticing until you're physically moving them all.
