Fixed my own dryer last night at 1am

The belt snapped on my 12 year old Whirlpool and I was not about to pay a service call. Found a $18 belt kit on Amazon, watched a 10 minute video, and had it running again by 2:30. Anyone else fix something around the house late at night instead of waiting for a pro?

Oh man, I used to be the type who'd just call someone for everything. But after watching my brother fix his own washer last year and seeing how easy it actually was, it totally changed my mind. Now I'm the one up at midnight with a multimeter in my hand, and honestly it feels way more satisfying than handing over a hundred bucks.
