Just spent 90 minutes hunting for a firmware bug that was one missing semicolon
Was debugging a lighting automation script at 2am and it kept crashing. Turned out I left out a semicolon on line 47. Has anyone else spent way too long on something that simple?

My buddy was working on a C++ project once and spent like 3 full hours trying to figure out why his program wouldn't compile. He checked everything, rewrote whole sections, even reinstalled the toolchain. Finally he looked at the error message more closely and realized he'd typed a lowercase 'l' instead of the number '1' in a variable name. Completely invisible to the eye but totally broke everything. He was so mad he closed his laptop and didn't touch it for two days. Honestly that kind of stuff makes you question your whole life choices sometimes.
