Got my 200th different license plate number in the mail yesterday and it kinda blew my mind
I've been tracking every plate I see on deliveries for about 3 years now, just writing down the state and number when I notice something weird or rare. Hitting 200 felt huge because I never thought I'd even get past 50 when I started. Anyone else keep a weird log like this and get surprised by their own progress?

@faithb78 totally nailed it with the goal setting thing, but here's something nobody's brought up yet - your phone's camera roll can actually count as a backup log if you snap quick pics of plates instead of writing them down right away. That way you can add them to your spreadsheet later without worrying about forgetting the details. Just make sure you turn off location tagging so you don't accidentally give away your delivery route or whatever.

Your mileage may vary but something that helped me was actually setting a small goal first, like 25 plates, then 50, then 100. Breaking it up makes each milestone feel real instead of overwhelming. Also, writing them down on a simple spreadsheet with a date and state column keeps it from getting too messy. Just my two cents, but don't worry if you miss a few days either. That log will pile up faster than you think if you stick with it.
