Can we talk about how Halo 2's checkpoint system got way worse after the first patch back in 2004?
I booted up my old Xbox last week and played the launch version side by side with the updated one, and it went from saving right before a fight to making me respawn 3 minutes earlier every death because Bungie tried to fix a glitch but just broke the pacing.

Honestly, that specific "fix" is what killed the flow for me too. Did you notice if the patch also messed with the respawn timer on Legendary or was it just the checkpoint placement? Ngl, I remember dying on that one Brute fight on Delta Halo and getting sent back to the part where you first drop into the river area.

Yeah that "fix" is totally what got me too. On Legendary I got sent back to the river so many times I almost quit, that Brute spawn is brutal.
