The CRT I saved from the curb looked way better after 2 hours of adjustments
Pulled a trinitron out of someone's trash near the canal last saturday, and the picture had this awful green tint with the geometry all wobbly. I cracked it open, cleaned the dust out, and tweaked the yoke and some pots on the flyback until the grid test pattern was dead straight. Anybody else find that older sets respond surprisingly well to just a little maintenance, or did I just get lucky?

Pulled the same thing with a Sony from the 90s I found. Tilt was way off and the colors were bleeding into each other. Spent an afternoon tweaking the convergence rings and it fixed most of it, not perfect but way better than I expected
