Shoutout to the guy at LAX who made me rethink my spotting spot

I was at the In-N-Out near LAX last Saturday, and some dude with a giant lens told me I was wasting my time by the chain link fence by the parking garage. He said the real action is on the west side of the runway near the employee lot, and I thought he was just being gatekeepy. But I tried it on Sunday, and he was right. The approach angle is way better, and I caught a 787 on final that I would have totally missed from my usual spot. Has anyone else found a hidden spot that totally changes the game?
