Bumped into my old high school drama teacher at a used bookstore in Portland last weekend

She told me she still watches the 'Fawlty Towers' box set I gave her in 1998 every single year, which felt crazy but also kinda made my week. Has anyone else had a classic show you recommended come back around like that?

Have you tried checking if your local library has any older shows you used to love? Sometimes the simplest recs stick the longest with people, way more than the trendy stuff. I gave my cousin a 'MASH' DVD set back in 2005 and he still watches episodes when he's sick. It's funny how those shows become comfort food for folks. If you ever want to pass along something again, stick with shows that have that warm, familiar feel. Those are the ones that really last. A good comedy from decades ago can be like an old friend you visit every year.
