Rant: That one comment about my couch cushions changed how I watch TV now

My friend visited last week and said my old loveseat was making my living room look like a waiting room. I got defensive at first, but then I realized she was right. The cushions were all flat and worn down from years of watching reruns of The Office every night. So I swapped them out for firmer ones and suddenly my whole setup feels different. Has anyone else had a friend give them feedback that actually improved how you experience your favorite shows?

Wait, was it the cushions or the actual couch frame that was the issue? Swapping out cushions is a temporary fix but if the foam inside is really that shot you're better off reupholstering the whole thing or just getting a new loveseat.

I had to get a whole new loveseat, @coleman.jamie, because the foam inside was basically dust and the frame was wobbly too. If you can feel the springs through the cushions, it's worth just replacing the whole thing.
