Can we talk about people using crushed cans without sanding the edges

I swear I see so many posts in here where someone made a cool looking flower or butterfly out of a soda can, but the edges are all jagged and sharp. It drives me nuts because that's like a guaranteed cut waiting to happen. I spent about 4 hours last week making a little hummingbird from a Mountain Dew can, and I used a basic $5 sanding block on every single edge before I even glued anything together. My cousin grabbed one of my early pieces a few months ago and got a slice on her finger, and that's when I realized it mattered. If you're gonna sell these at a craft fair or give them as gifts, you gotta make sure they're safe to handle. Does anyone else feel like this is the most overlooked step in the whole process?

Same pattern shows up everywhere in life - people skip the boring safety step and act surprised when things go wrong. Just takes one bad cut to learn your lesson, like you did.
