Wasted $60 on a special soda can crimper tool that barely works

I bought the CanCrimp Pro from an online ad back in March thinking it would help me make cleaner edges on my wall hangings. The thing arrived and it just crushes the aluminum unevenly, leaving jagged cuts every time. I ended up going back to my old method of using a utility knife and a ruler for way better results. Has anyone else had trouble with those specialty tools or found a trick to make them work?

Got one of those cheap beer can crimpers for my camping trips. Total garbage. The aluminum splits right along the seam every single time. Ended up with beer all over my hands and a crushed can that looked like a raccoon got to it. I just stick with the old bottle opener now. Works fine and costs a buck.

My $3 one from Walmart crimps perfect every time, maybe you got a bad batch.
