Mom's attic crawlspace had a toilet just sitting there

I went up to grab holiday decorations at my parents' place in Akron and found a full toilet tank and bowl just sitting in the corner of the attic crawlspace, no plumbing attached. My dad said it's been there since the 70s remodel when they couldn't fit it down the stairs. Does anyone else have random plumbing fixtures just chilling in your attic or basement?

Found a weird one at my buddy's cabin in the sticks. His grandpa built a whole bathroom in the basement but forgot to put in a window or any kinda vent, so it just smells like mildew constantly. The toilet works fine but nobody wants to sit in there for more than 30 seconds. He keeps a box fan pointing at the door to get some airflow going. It's honestly the most uncomfortable bathroom I've ever used and I've been to some sketchy gas stations.

Consider me the official toilet hauler at my own shop, so I totally get the weird attic plumbing museum situation.
