My basement junk drawer epiphany

I used to just toss old keys and random screws in a coffee can, but after digging through it for 20 minutes last Tuesday looking for a drywall anchor, I switched to those little clear compartment boxes from Harbor Freight for $4 each. Has anyone else found a cheap system that actually works for organizing tiny hardware?

Buddy of mine just uses old pickle jars and labels everything with a sharpie.
