Tried to fix a squeaky floorboard in my attic, ended up finding a bunch of old tax papers from 1987

I was up there last Saturday with a hammer and a can of WD-40, and when I pulled up a loose board, I found a whole stack of receipts and returns from some guy named Gerald. Has anyone else stumbled onto random old documents while trying to do a simple repair?

You try to handle a small problem, and it turns into this big messy thing you never signed up for. It's like the universe is testing your patience or something. Take this with a grain of salt, but I'd say those papers are probably more interesting than the floorboard anyway.

Read somewhere that old houses basically keep a diary of everyone who ever lived in them, just through the junk they left behind. Makes you wonder what the next person will think when they find our random stuff stuffed in a wall somewhere. Kind of a weird legacy, but I guess it's better than nothing.
