My aunt showed me a towel folding trick for gift giving

I was wrapping a housewarming gift last month and my aunt walked in on me struggling to fold a bath towel into something that didn't look like a crumpled mess. She grabbed the towel and folded it into a neat little envelope shape in about 15 seconds. Said she learned it from a YouTube video for making towel gifts look professional without spending money on fancy wrapping paper. Now I use that same fold anytime I bring a towel set to a bridal shower or birthday party. It stores flat too so you can stack them in a basket. Has anyone else tried folding towels into envelopes or envelopes for gifts?

Oh man that reminds me of the time I tried to fold a fitted sheet and gave up halfway through and just stuffed it in a gift bag lol. My sister in law showed me how to fold towels into swans once for a wedding shower and I spent like 20 minutes trying to copy her. It ended up looking like a lumpy duck but the bride still laughed and kept it on the display table. I swear those gift folding tricks look so easy on video but then your hands just don't cooperate.

The swan thing is EXACTLY what I went through with those folded napkin animals at my cousin's wedding. I watched a 3 minute video on my phone and thought I was a pro. Six napkins and 45 minutes later I had what looked like a dead origami pigeon sitting on the table. My aunt walked by and asked if it was supposed to be a turkey or a swan. I told her it was a modern art piece and she just laughed and moved it to the back table where nobody could see it. Those folding tricks are basically magic tricks that only work if you have the right kind of hands I swear.
