My nephew asked me to teach him towel folding for his school talent show last month

He's 8 and wanted to do something different than the usual magic tricks or singing. So I showed him how to fold a towel into a swan, like the ones they do in fancy hotels. He practiced for like 3 hours straight after school every day for a week. His mom sent me a video of him doing it on stage in front of like 200 people and he nailed it perfectly. The best part was one kid in the front row yelled out "that's just a towel!" and then got super quiet when the swan actually stood up. Have any of you ever taught a kid a folding trick and seen them run with it?

Honestly my friend's little cousin did something kinda similar with origami. She taught him how to fold a paper crane and he got so into it he made like 50 of them for his class art project. His teacher let him hang them from the ceiling and the other kids started asking him to teach them too. He even skipped recess a few times just to fold more cranes. Ngl it was pretty cool seeing a 7 year old get that obsessed with paper folding.
