Spent 45 minutes trying to fold a fitted sheet for gift wrapping
I had this dumb idea to fold a fitted sheet into a neat little bundle so I could give it as a housewarming gift. Figured it would take maybe 5 minutes tops. Two hours later I was standing in my living room with a giant wrinkled mess and a bunch of YouTube videos open on my phone. None of those tutorials actually work with a real sheet from your closet, you know? The elastic just keeps snapping back at you and the corners never line up. I finally gave up and just stuffed it into a gift bag with the corners poking out. Has anyone actually managed to get one of those hotel-style tight folds on a fitted sheet without spending half a day?

Those tutorials always show some perfectly ironed brand new sheet, not one that's been through the wash twenty times and has memory foam corners. Did you try the method where you tuck each corner into the next one and then fold it like a rectangle? That's the one that always leaves me with a lumpy weird shape in the middle.

My friend tried the tuck method and ended up wrestling her sheet for 15 minutes before stuffing it in the closet.

Oh man, those YouTube tutorials must be filmed in an alternate universe where gravity works differently.
