Tried folding towels like a hotel for a week and my linen closet finally closed

Spent last Monday folding bath towels into thirds instead of halves and suddenly everything fit without shoving. Has anyone else found a fold that just works better for tight shelves?

Oh man, I felt that in my soul. The towel shoving method is a time honored tradition that I have perfected over years of practice. But then my roommate showed me this whole "folding" thing and it actually does make the closet look way less chaotic.
