Hey guys, finally looking to pull the trigger on a tuner for my 3.5L Ecoboost. The stock throttle response is driving me crazy and I want a bit more towing power. Can anyone recommend a solid company for custom tunes? Not looking for anything crazy that will blow up my engine, just reliable daily driving and towing gains.

Make sure you grab an SCT BDX device if you go that route. It holds multiple files so you can easily swap between a conservative daily driving tune and a more aggressive 93 octane performance one on the weekends.

I was in the exact same boat last winter. You definitely want to check out 5 Star Tuning. Their daily/tow tunes are incredible. It completely woke up my truck and fixed that annoying lag when you hit the gas. Plus, their customer service is top notch if you ever need datalogs reviewed or revisions made.
Seconding this. I've run their 87 octane performance/tow tune for over 40k miles without a single hiccup. The transmission shifts are buttery smooth now compared to the clunky factory mapping.
