Pro tip: Stop fast-forwarding movies before rewinding them.
I used to always fast-forward through the end credits to rewind my tapes faster. Then a guy at the local thrift store told me that puts extra strain on the tape itself and can cause it to snap over time. I switched to rewinding right after the movie ends without touching the fast-forward button. My tapes have been running smoother ever since, especially my old copy of The Lost Boys. Has anyone else gotten grief from a collector about their tape habits?

Oh gosh, my friend Sarah used to do that all the time with her horror movie collection. She missed the last 10 minutes of Halloween one time when the tape snapped inside her VCR. Now she just sits through the credits like everybody else.

Did you hear about that study that said people actually miss important plot points if they get up during the credits? Honestly, I read somewhere that directors hide little clues in the background of the end credits sometimes. Ngl, makes me feel better about sitting through them even if it's just to hear the music.
