Found out my 'self-watering' planter was drowning my herbs
I grabbed one of those fancy self-watering pots from a yard sale in Dayton last month for $5. Turns out the reservoir kept the soil too wet for rosemary, which prefers drier conditions. Found a study from Ohio State that said most herbs need drainage holes or they rot within 2 weeks. Anyone else have a gadget that worked against what it was supposed to do?
Did your friend end up drilling holes in the bottom or just ditch the whole thing? I had a buddy who bought one of those air fryer toaster ovens and it somehow made his toast soggy every time.
