Remember when Nicktoons actually had weird intros?

I was watching old Rugrats episodes on Paramount+ and noticed how the intro changed after the first season. It got way simpler and less chaotic. Anyone else miss the original weird vibe or am I just old?

Used to be one of those people who rolled their eyes at nostalgia posts like this. Always figured it was just folks remembering things being better than they actually were. But then I went back and watched those early Rugrats intros and you're right, that first one was a total mess of colors and chaos. It felt like the show was practically daring you to keep up with it. They toned it down for season two and it just never had that same raw energy again. I get why they did it, cleaner is probably better for branding, but something got lost in the process.

The first season intro was literally a sensory overload (in a good way though, haha). I remember the colors bleeding into each other and the music felt faster, like it was trying to keep you on your toes. @henry_webb68 you nailed it with the "daring you to keep up" part - that's exactly how it hit me too. Season two's intro was definitely smoother but it lost that chaotic charm, almost like they polished out the personality.
