My aunt swore by room temperature cheese and I thought she was crazy

For years I always pulled cheese straight from the fridge and threw it on my snack plates. My aunt kept telling me to let it sit out for at least 30 minutes before serving. I finally tried it last weekend for a small gathering and she was totally right. The cheddar and brie were way creamier and actually had flavor instead of just being cold and hard. Has anyone else had a big change of heart about a snack plate rule they ignored for too long?

Honestly same here, warm brie changed my whole snacking game.

Yeah I read something the other week about how cold actually numbs your taste buds so you're missing half the flavor with straight from the fridge cheese. Makes sense why cold pizza always tastes kind of dead compared to leftover pizza that's been sitting out. I finally tried it with some sharp cheddar last month and yeah warm cheese is just better.
