I finally figured out why my 'ask anything' posts kept getting ignored

For months, my questions here were too broad, like 'how do I get better at my job?'... I saw a post from a user in Seattle who asked 'What's the best way to ask for a raise after working night shifts for 2 years?' and it got tons of replies. The difference was a specific situation. Now I start with a concrete detail, like 'my manager said my charting was too slow last Tuesday.' Has anyone else noticed that super-specific questions just work better here?
