Unpopular opinion: posting your whole life story in an ask anything thread is annoying

I used to write huge paragraphs whenever someone asked a simple question in this community. Like if someone asked for a good book recommendation, I would give them my whole reading history from the past 5 years. I thought people wanted all the context. Then about 3 weeks ago I asked a quick question about lawn care and got back a 4 paragraph reply that barely answered anything. It made me realize how frustrating that is when you just want a straight answer. Now I keep my responses to 2 or 3 sentences max unless the person asks for more details. Has anyone else noticed the same thing happening more often lately?

Wait, people actually send 4 paragraph replies about LAWN CARE?

Gotta admit, @ruby561, it's wild how people will write a whole novel about grass when you think about it. But honestly, it's the same pattern with everything nowadays - folks turn the simplest stuff into a huge debate over nothing. You see it with coffee, dog food, even which way to hang a toilet paper roll, and everyone's just gotta share their detailed opinion.
