Mount issues are the absolute worst. They can ruin so much work before you even know it. Glad you found the problem.

Remember that time I tried fixing a leaky faucet and ended up flooding half my bathroom because I forgot to turn the water off at the main valve? Sometimes the smallest oversight leads to the biggest mess. But hey, at least you caught it before it got worse, right?
