That barista at Octane said my pour-over technique was off
I was grabbing coffee last Saturday off the Beltline and the barista watched me do my pour-over at the counter. She said I was pouring too fast and not letting the bloom set right. She showed me a slower spiral pour and let me try with a spare brew. The cup came out way less bitter with a smoother finish. Anyone else gotten tips from a barista that actually changed your morning routine?

Honestly I used to pour way too fast and my coffee always came out bitter and weak. Slowing down to a steady trickle was a game changer, now I actually get the flavor notes the bag talks about.
