That $140 weld cart actually paid off after three months
Bought one of those cheap rolling weld carts from Harbor Freight back in March to keep the MIG and bottles organized... figured it was a waste but my old setup of stacking stuff on a plywood shelf was killing my back. It's held up fine at 40 hour weeks here in Columbus, even with the heavy 80 cu ft tank on it. Anyone else find their best shop buys are the boring ones?
Hold up before you crown that thing, my Harbor Freight cart sagged so bad the top shelf started bowing after two months with a similar setup. The welds look fine but the metal is just thin enough that it flexes every time I roll it over a floor crack, and that annoys me way more than the money I saved. Honestly, if it survives a full year I'll eat my words, but three months is still the honeymoon phase for cheap gear.
