Wasted $180 on a cheap paint mixing system last month
I figured I'd save some cash and grab one of those budget gravity feed mixing cups with the built-in strainers. Big mistake. The seals didn't hold, so I had basecoat seeping out between the cup and the lid, and the strainer clogged up twice on a single job. Took me an extra 90 minutes to clean up the mess and re-mix a third batch for a Camry in Long Beach. By the time I tallied up the wasted paint, thinner, and my hourly rate, I could have just bought the branded system I was eyeing. Anyone else burned money trying to cheap out on mixing gear, or is it just me? What setup actually holds up for you guys on daily production?

Cheap mixing gear always costs more in time and paint than it saves upfront. That cleanup alone probably ate your whole day's profit. Good tools pay for themselves when you're on production.
