I finally tried that new fiber optic splice kit everyone was talking about

I saw a tech in Dallas use it on a G650's cabin system and the splice time was under 5 minutes with zero signal loss. I was sure it was just a gimmick, but after using it myself on a tough job last week, I'm sold on the process. What's one tool or method you thought was overhyped but actually works great?

My old boss in Phoenix said the same thing about those kits.

Did your boss actually buy one of those kits and try it out? I've heard of people swearing by them but never met anyone who actually saw results.
