I used to think the 'wiggle test' for connectors was good enough

I mean, I'd been doing it for like 5 years on our regional jets, just a quick hand check. Then last week in Tulsa, a senior guy saw me and said, 'You know that misses cold solder joints, right?' He showed me on the bench how a pin could pass the wiggle but still have zero electrical continuity. Now I always break out the meter for a proper check, even on a quick turn. Anyone else get called out on a bad habit they didn't even know they had?

My old boss caught me using the wrong file type for print jobs once.

Check the crimp, not just the pin.
